  • NCPS Challenge

    The annual NCPS Challenge has been held over two nights this week. On Wednesday 17 clubs took part, each submitting 5 prints. Leek came a very respectable 4th.     Another successful evening. Final results were as follows: 1st Leek with 146 points 2nd Blythe Bridge with 139 points 3rd Ashbourne with 131 points 4th Newcastle with 128 points 5th Stoke with 119 points.     In a nail biting finish, Leek managed to beat last year's trophy winners Alsager by just one point. The final results were: 1st Leek 178 points 2nd Alsager 177 points 3rd Newcastle 171 points 4th Stoke 159 points Congratulations to Chris Sherratt with "Autumn Dawn in Tuscany" and Cliff Hughes with "Tranquility" which both scored 20.

    Photographers are being invited to snap pictures celebrating Staffordshire’s varied wildlife and landscapes for a charity’s 2017 calendar.   • Staffs Photo Clubs PDI Competition

    Cannock PS hosted this year's competion, 12 clubs took part, each submitting 10 images. The judge was Peter E Cheetham. On the night, Tamworth PC won with 175 points followed by our hosts Cannock with 170 points. Leek scored a respectable 163 points, coming 6th. Congratulations to Tony Kinder for our highest scoring image of the night, the only one of ours held back.

  • Robertshaw Trophy

    This year's host was Holmes Chapel (last year's winner), 6 members travelled to support Leek PC. This is a PDI Competition where 10 images are submitted by each club taking part, and they are judged individually and awarded points out of 20. The club with the most points wins. Last night, the winners were Macclesfield, with 180 points, Crewe came second with 172, just beating us into 3rd place...

    This year, we were allocated a place in the Craft Tent which seemed to be very successful, there was a steady flow of people looking at our photographs. Thanks go to Clare Beech in particular for all the time she put in during the day, and also to Denise Kendall, Chris Braime, Ivan Sanders and John Saner.
