Results of Photofolio 2012

Hi All, I have received the results of our entry to Photofolio, and once again club members have done really well. Paul Matthews has gained two medals, the Best Nature MCPF Medal for 'Male Kingfisher', and the Tony Wharton Medal for 'Male Orange Tip'. He also gained a Highly Commended for 'Greyhounds racing'. Sonja Haigh received the Best Colour Print Trophy for her image 'Wash Time', and was also twice Highly Commended, for Doggie Bag and Ruby. Don Barker received a Highly Commended for 'The Gallery'. All these images will appear in the Portfolio that will travel around the region and visit us at some time next season.

I make that 14 different Club Members with images in the Exhibition. Very well done to all. For the serious statisticians,  we improved our average score in all three sections compared with last year [which in itself was an improvement on the previous year]. This year's Monochrome Print average was 11.05 [compared to 10.65 last year]; this year's Colour Print average was 11.95 [compared to 10.60]; this year's Projected Digital Image average was 11.4 [compared to 11.1].

No pressure for next year then.

Best regards, Bernard
