Multi-National Company finds Inspiration at Leek PC Exhibition

A chance encounter at our Exhibition at Leek Show this summer, has provided opportunities for one of our members - Kevin Burton. Stuart Gregory contacted Kevin through the club and explained his interest. Stuart is Managing Director of UK division of “PETROFER a Multi-National specialist oil and lubrication company and he wanted to see more of Kevin's work on natural themes and specialised High Speed images of fluids in motion. Several meetings later, some of Kevin's images have been chosen to be used as artwork in their HQ in Germany, and more specialised images in a re-styled brochure range.

From his dealings with PETROFER, Kevin has learnt that this was not a big company making demands and cutting costs, but a company genuinely looking to engage with it's local communities in many ways - not just this small local initiative but also “global” projects as varied as “increasing the bee populations in and around it's buildings” to building schools and meeting rooms etc for local deprived communities as part of their Social Moral Responsibility programme, where they tried to make improvements to the life, health and education for young deprived children in the communities.

PETROFER want to continue their involvement with the Club by sponsoring a Trophy. Details to be confirmed in due course.
