  • Robertshaw Trophy 2016

    Blythe Bridge Camera Club hosted this year's competition for the Robertshaw Trophy which was judged by Peter W Cheetham, APAGB. Fourteen of our members travelled to Blythe Bridge to witness the disappointing outcome for Leek PC coming in last place - soundly beaten by the other four clubs.   • Moorlands Radio

    On Wednesday 24th August, our own Bernard Beech is being interviewed on Moorlands Radio about Leek Photographic Club. Not sure yet when it will be broadcast, this afternoon's Drivetime is the earliest possibility, if we learn more we'll let you know. Moorlands Radio broadcasts on 103.7 fm, so tune in if you can.

  • Art in the Park

    Despite the weather, we had a successful exhibition at Art in the Park 2016. We had some 90 images on display, and comments made in the Visitor Book reflected the excellent standard. Thank you to all who contributed images, and to those who gave their time to help set up, take down and steward the event and made it a successful weekend.

  • Annual Dinner & Awards Presentation

    Our end of season dinner and awards presentation was held at the end of April. Congratulations to Chris Sherratt and John Coe who were awarded the Best Print of the Year and Runner Up respectively, and to Cliff Hughes and Cliff Beardmore for the Best Digital Image of the Year and Runner Up.   • NCPS Challenge

    The annual NCPS Challenge has been held over two nights this week. On Wednesday 17 clubs took part, each submitting 5 prints. Leek came a very respectable 4th.     Another successful evening. Final results were as follows: 1st Leek with 146 points 2nd Blythe Bridge with 139 points 3rd Ashbourne with 131 points 4th Newcastle with 128 points 5th Stoke with 119 points.     In a nail biting finish, Leek managed to beat last year's trophy winners Alsager by just one point. The final results were: 1st Leek 178 points 2nd Alsager 177 points 3rd Newcastle 171 points 4th Stoke 159 points Congratulations to Chris Sherratt with "Autumn Dawn in Tuscany" and Cliff Hughes with "Tranquility" which both scored 20.
