Annual Dinner and Awards Presentation

Club Members, friends and family spent a very pleasant evening at Ye Olde Rock Inn at Upper Hulme recently for the Annual Dinner and Awards Presentation. Guest of honour and Judge for the evening was Keith Brown, FRPS.
Margaret Rushton was the proud recipient of several trophies after a very successful season. The photograph shows her receiving the Brian Ross Award, presented by Keith Brown, FRPS, as the photographer with the most first, second and third places in both print and projected images in the categories of Landscape and Miscellaneous this season (the latter of course includes creative work), all of which were Brian’s forte.

Margaret also won Print of the Year with Tippling Down, Ray Baddeley coming in second with Grand Hotel at Llandudno. The Best Digital Image of the Year went to Nigel Spooner for Room to Run, and Glyn George runner up with The Chase. Tony Kinder won the Mick Johnson Cup for the most first, second and third places in both print and projected images for Natural History.
The Millenium Shield which is awarded to a club member who is not a serving Committee Member but has regularly helped behind the scenes in any capacity, this year went to Chris Sherratt.
